With an urgent need to find a replacement Country Manager for a Premium Writing Instrument company, Optia Partners identified 3 qualified candidates and secured the finalist within 5 weeks of receiving the assignment.
The Senior Industry Specialist of the Consumer recruiting group at Optia had learned through a close contact in the market that a U.S. Premium Writing Instrument company needed to conduct a replacement search for their existing Country General Manager. The consultant took the initiative to offer his services as he had a strong network of executives who would be suitable for the role. As the replacement needed to be found expediently, the client agreed to Optia’s proposal to work on an exclusive contingency basis, where a 100% dedicated search would be conducted to identify an appropriate candidate as soon as possible.
An initial meeting with the current GM was organized to ascertain the scope and requirements of the position and to understand the world wide corporation and local Japanese operation.
With time being a critical issue, the Senior Consultant quickly executed an initial screening and marketing plan amongst his existing contacts and within the first week produced a short list of 3 qualified and interested candidates. Interviews were held over the course of the next month with the client choosing 2 finalists. Reference checks were conducted and the finalist accepted the clients offer with no complications in the final negotiations. The search was completed from start to finish in less than 5 weeks.
