U.S. Luxury Fashion Company - Quality Assurance Senior Manager

Optia Partner’s Consumer Team successfully identified a QA Senior Manager and continued to support the client with a further 7 hires.

The Senior Consultant in Optia’s Consumer team was working with the client for more than a year. Relationships were good; however the consultant had few successes with the client up to date. A new HR Manager was hired on the client side and he immediately assigned the Optia consultant with a position for a QA Senior Manager which the company had trouble filling. Determined to build some rapport and credibility with the new HR Manager, the consultant worked hard to fill the position.

The search was proving difficult as the client was searching for a candidate with not only a strong skill set and experience, but who could also fit in with the company’s culture. The consultant screened numerous qualified candidates however could not find the right type of character or personality. Eventually he met a candidate who was from a different industry but possessed strong management skills and a very methodical and efficient approach to his work. He was also from another U.S. company and possessed the right kind of personality to be a cultural fit with the client. After 3 interviews the client hired the candidate stating “he was definitely the best candidate we had met for this position”.

The positive result helped to establish a strong working relationship between the new HR Manager and Optia’s Consumer team’s Senior Consultant resulting in a further seven placements with the firm. Additionally the consultant placed the QA Assurance Manager underneath the originally introduced QA Senior Manager resulting in recognition and appreciation from the client’s New York headquarters.
