Advertising Agency – Global – Head of Strategic Planning

 

With expansion of their international accounts, a leading advertising agency needed to bring a Head of Strategic Planning on-board to give direction to its team of 30 planners.

Our client had continued to grow their international accounts within the Japan operation, and a demand for ‘western’ account planning at a more sophisticated level was needed. With a team of close to 30 planners, a senior executive was needed to come in and lead the entire account planning team. Due to long term relationships with candidates in the advertising industry and monthly contact with over a 1,000 agency personnel, we were quickly able to recommend the right candidate for the agency. We only introduced one qualified candidate for the role as we were certain of the match. After the first meeting with the then Executive Managing Director of the agency, it was determined that this candidate was the ideal match. After a month of negotiations related to full job responsibility, compensation and starting time frames, the candidate accepted the agency’s offer.
