Marco hails from Aachen, Germany, were he attended RWTH University, to study Business Administration. His passion for the fashion industry lead him to a career in visual merchandising, producing fashion shows throughout Europe and working with industry opinion leaders and designers. Marco has participated in Fashion Shows in Milan, Paris, New York, London, Tokyo and Berlin.
Marco has an extensive network of industry insiders and fashion commentators. His experience and knowledge of the industry was taken to the next level when first scouted in Europe to model for high fashion. A well known model in the industry, Marco was selected by designers, photographers, stylist and brand managers to represent their image at fashion shows and in the media across the globe. He has worked with brands such as Gucci, Hermes, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Van Clef and Arpels, Yoji Yamamoto, Junya Watanabe, Comme des Garcons and Hugo Boss.
Marco specializes in recruiting for the Fashion industry in Japan. He is assisting both domestic and foreign brands to expand their presence and brand equity in the market. He is capable of delivering the highest talent for Optia's clients and has a network of industry professionals both in Japan, Europe and USA.
Areas of specialty include CEO, CMO, CFO level candidates, Merchandising - both visual and buying/allocation, Retail management, Operations, Store and Area development, Sales and Marketing functions. Marco can also work for the back office functions within industry, bringing those with unique experiences in luxury and branded goods to the HR, accounting, finance, logistics departments.
