Chris is originally from Melbourne, Australia, and graduated from Swinburne University of Technology with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and Sociology. He also holds a Diploma of PC Business Management from the Australian College of Journalism, Sydney.
After four years as a media producer/journalist in Melbourne, Chris moved to Japan in early 2002, and has been recruiting for the legal industry since early 2007.
As a senior industry specialist within Optia’s Professional Services Group, Chris focuses his recruiting on legal positions for multinational companies and foreign law firms in East Asia.
Chris has an extensive network in the key cities of Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore. He works closely with hiring managers on finding domestic and foreign lawyers, corporate counsel, legal managers, compliance officers, paralegals, contract negotiators, IP specialists, and other legal specialists.
