- What are we looking for in a Consultant?

An Executive Search Consultant at Optia should be thinking with the long term view that (s)he is building a business for the future. Developing lasting relationships with clients and candidates, understanding how businesses and companies operate, knowing the dynamics of one’s chosen market, being able to consult on human resource issues and developing professional level sales and marketing skills don’t come overnight. As each year passes, Consultants continually improve on these skills, while watching their businesses grow to maturity.

Consultants develop client relationships with some of the world’s leading companies and most successful start ups in their industry and work to identify key executives who are critical to realizing their clients’ successes. An important part of the role, especially in the first few years, is to develop a strong personal network of candidates and client contacts. Consultants are part of an industry team, given autonomy to lead their own searches, while working in coordination with other team members.
