First day on the job in Switzerland!
Thanks to a strong network of contacts in the luxury market and continual efforts to source interesting positions for our candidates, Optia’s Senior Consultant of the Consumer recruiting team was able to identify and secure a Wholesale Directors position with an Italian Jewelry maker.
The company was an Italian luxury jewelry manufacturer and a new client for Optia. They had been having difficulty locating a Director for their Japanese Wholesale business and decided to contact Optia’s Senior Consultant specializing in the luxury goods markets.
Fortunately the Senior Consultant was well connected in this market and knew of an ideal candidate looking for a position matching the client’s requirements. The timing was almost uncanny. The target candidate was presently working as a Director at a competitor company and knew the client’s company and their position in the market very well. He was interested in the role.
A series of 3 interviews were expediently co-coordinated and the client moved quickly in order to hire the new Director in time for the world’s largest watch and jewelry fair in Switzerland. The offer and transfer was successfully negotiated and the candidate called Optia’s Senior Consultant from Switzerland on his first day of work delighted with the result.
