Through its network of contacts and skillful representation, Optia’s Technology team worked together to identify and secure a Partner level position for a restructured candidate.
The candidate was working as a Senior Sales and Marketing Manager at a leading global provider of HW, SW and IT Consulting services before he was restructured due to a change in management’s strategy. He worked on some consulting assignments through friends; however he was really in need of a permanent position which would hopefully be the equivalent or at a higher level than his previous position.
Through a mutual friend, the candidate got in touch with one of Optia Partner’s Technology Consultants and explained his situation. The Consultant discussed the candidate’s situation with several team members and an appropriate position was identified. It was for Partner of Program Management with a major US enterprise software vendor. The position required someone with strong experience in partner sales and alliance management. This happened to be the candidate’s strength and the consultant made sure to include significant achievements the candidate had missed in his original resume. Interviews were set up with the appropriate managers at the client company. Additionally the candidate had an excellent reputation in partner sales, which the consultant brought to the attention of the client through a reliable reference – the original mutual friend.
After 4 successful interviews the candidate was hired. Needless to say the candidate benefited from the consultant’s skill and resourcefulness and the Optia Technology team’s network of contacts in the enterprise software market.
