European Pharmaceutical Company - Clinical Project Manager
In helping the client identify and secure a Clinical Project Manager, Optia’s Life Sciences team was also able to provide the candidate with a position which was based in Tokyo, allowing for more time to be spent with his family.
A common problem for many career professionals in the pharmaceutical industry is the necessity to move from the Kansai region to the Kanto region or vice versa. With a considerable number of large pharmaceutical companies operating outside of Tokyo, the rate of mergers and acquisitions, relocations and not to mention the individual’s personal situation, this is sometimes a major challenge for pharmaceutical professionals and their companies.
One such candidate had recently been moved to a new city and was not enjoying the enforced gap between him and his family back home.
When the Life Sciences team met with him, he outlined his situation; he wanted to move home but he didn’t want to give up his title, salary and responsibilities. Although at first there were no suitable positions available in the market, the team kept in close contact and two months later a leading company approached Optia with a relevant position. Meetings were set up expediently and the client found the candidate to be a good match for the position.
The candidate is now enjoying his new role as Clinical Project Manager with a leading European Pharmaceutical company. The company is located within half an hour of his house and he is able to spend more time with his family.
