Manuel's specialty at Optia Partners is executive search in the Electronics industry, covering Semiconductor Device, Embedded Systems, EDA and related technologies. He brings a wealth of search experience in Japan's technical markets having spent a 3 year tenor at a Global Executive Search firm's Tokyo branch prior to Optia. Manuel is well versed in executing both retained and contingency search for a variety of functional roles including Country Managers, Sales Directors/Managers, Product Managers and Engineers. He values delivering commitment and integrity to both his clients and candidates alike.
Manuel is originally from the Philippines, spent his middle schooling years in California and Virginia and has resided in Japan since 2000. He graduated from De La Salle University, Manila majoring in Japanese studies and studied a year at Waseda University, Tokyo. After his undergraduate studies, he was awarded a prestigious Japanese Government scholarship to pursue his POST-graduate studies in International Cooperation at Nagoya University.
Manuel is multi-lingual and speaks English, Japanese and Filipino fluently. During his free-time, he enjoys good dining with friends and traveling.
