Conrad uses his thorough understanding of his clients and their needs so he can represent them positively, work as an extension of their HR team and identify and attract the right talent for them.



Conrad specializes in industrial-manufacturing recruitment for mid to executive-level roles. Specifically, he focuses on management, sales, marketing and engineering functions for vision/sensors/scientific equipment, robotics, machining/CAD, and process control areas.
Conrad started as a market researcher with Optia Partners International in the Philippines in 2013 and moved to Japan after a year when he was promoted to a consultant role.
Prior to joining Optia Partners, he spent almost 8 years working for a large US multinational BPO company where he managed teams of 5-20 people and handled roles in operations and workforce management.  In his stay there, he was exposed to employee engagement, people development, and internal promotion screening which sparked his interest in recruitment.  He decided to follow his passion and switched careers.
He then spent about 2 years with an outsourced recruitment company, supporting some of the world’s biggest staffing firms while learning the different facets of recruitment in various industries.
Conrad believes in the importance of really knowing his clients and candidates and in being their partners in order to come up with a win-win situation.
He finds fulfillment in being able to make a difference in his candidates’ lives and in assisting his clients in their success — and considers it a great privilege.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies, listening to music, traveling, meeting new people, having engaging conversations, and learning new things.
He is also into photography, running, swimming, and ultimate Frisbee and is currently learning Nihongo.
